I'm pretty well positive that Cruz will correct me if I'm wrong, But I think everyone involved has completed this swap. And, might I say, a very successful swap for all involved. Everyone should be extremely happy with their bowls, as they all were very, very nicely done. Congrats to all, and I'll start pondering on the next topic.

Hi Steve...not quite! My bowl to Tim was posted a month ago, but has still not arrived. We're still keeping our fingers crossed, but I must admit to being a bit concerned now. Anyway, here's a couple of pics of it, which won't spoil the surprise for Tim, as I've already mailed the pics to him a week or so ago.

It's a 5" diameter pot out of oak burr, taken from a reclaimed beam from an old barn near me. Very hard and dry, but beautiful grain in it. I made 4 slightly different pots, three of which have gone to the shops that take my stuff (and 1 sold immediately), but the best of them went to Tim.

Tim's is the one on the right.....

Perhaps we could all engage in a mass finger-crossing for Tim's bowl!

Yep....couldn't believe my luck when I saw the timber. I guess that our predecessors valued it for its strength, rather than its appearance.

Les, some beautiful wood there mate, your form is different from what we normally see, but quite appealing.

Hi Pat....it was an exercise in making the most of a small piece of wood and ending up with the largest possible bowl out of it!

Beautiful piece Les. Keeping my fingers crossed as well. Regardless of it making it or not, this is a beautiful piece of work you did on this and the others in the group.

Got my bowl from John Altberg a couple of weeks ago, sorry for taking so long to get photo's posted. Nice clean maple bowl with the wood coming from John's back yard. Bowl is about 9X3.
Thanks John

That does look like a nice slick bowl. Congratulations to the maker and recipient.

You are very welcome, Steve. Here are a couple of additional views. A somewhat unorthodox shape for a utility bowl; can't toss a salad in it, but it works for chips, nuts or pretzels!
